Brigitte (or Bird as she’s also known) and Bruce celebrated their big day in the Natal Midlands…this is what she had to say about their wedding day

We didn’t want a ‘super-formal’ wedding. We wanted it to be quirky and fun but classy. We really wanted people to have a good time and not feel too ‘stiff’. Thankfully most of our guests mingled and stayed until the early hours of the morning.

The best part of the day was walking down the aisle and seeing all our family and favourite people in one room-that is just too awesome, and of course seeing your best friend waiting at the end of the aisle for you. It truly is a once-in-a lifetime experience!

Our ceremony was incredibly special as our close friend married us. It was super chilled and very personal. I don’t think anyone has laughed so much during a wedding ceremony as we did!

we decided to have our wedding at a venue called The Windmills. The venue is located in the Natal Midlands, which was exactly what we wanted- a country meets forest type of area. The venue was just incredible, everyone was more than helpful and made our day as stress free as you can imagine. Nothing was too much for them. They were able to customize the menu/set-up etc etc for us. I really couldn’t have prayed for anything better. The chapel overlooks a gorgeous dam as well as roaming hills. The sides of the whole chapel are made of glass so you get a 360 view of the stunning set-up. The reception hall is just as gorgeous with an attached lounge for the kids/guests to relax in. I truly would recommend this venue to anyone, the staff are just too good to be true.
