I’m so excited to tell you about this giveaway…Brenda Wardall of Hearts in a Shutter is a fabulous photographer who i have known for a long time. She and i discussed the giveaway months ago and then life happened and then and then, well you know how it goes. I’m thrilled at the timing for this giveaway though…it’s summer, everything just looks so much better and for many of you readers…love is in the air. So now for the good news…
Brenda is offering a shoot to one lucky reader and his or her beloved..
The prize is valued at R1970 and includes: 30-50 hi-resolution edited , ready for printing images on DVD as well as all the lo res images for popping onto Facebook, emailing to family and friends etc. The prize is limited to a shoot in Cape Town but if you’re from elsewhere in South Africa and come down to Cape Town every now and then, then that could work too. The prize is ideal as an engagement shoot but of course the competitio is open to all couples.
A bit more about Brenda – take a look at her site and you’ll see she has a real talent for capturing personality and emotion. She shoots weddings (check out her portfolio here) , engagements, family portraits and kids and her ability to get up close and personal without getting in your face is amazing. The shoot is an opportunity for you to get some portraits taken of you and your love – and it’s a great opportunity to get in front of the camera before your big day…Brenda will workshop a great venue and some cute ideas with you and above all she’ll put you at ease so you know you’ll get some wonderful pix of yourselves.

Joanne got it spot on there – the emotions are captured brilliantly! Going through the photo’s was addictive, and i spent a good moment going through them all
The pic of the the three boys with marshmellows & an orange peel (?) from Sienna turns 4 was the greatest! Lovely, lovely work.

I love both I want that wedding’s website and Hearts in a shutter’s photography! You are both great at what you do. I am getting married in 5 months’time and visit I want that wedding’s page every week to look for new inspiration. Hearts in a shutter is another great information contribution and I would love to be the lucky one to win this photo shoot as I feel that the true heart of every scene captured by Brenda is beautifully portrayed in each picture.

wow! have been searching everywhere for a grand photographer to capture our engagement but to no avail – love the look of hearts in a shutter and would be OVER THE MOON if we won this. my fiance is currently in zimbabwe for work and i am in johannesburg so even during our engagement we are not together – would be SUCH a treat if i could surprise him with a wonderful photoshoot. xxx

Just to let everyone know, Brenda is a great photographer! I myself am a photographer (doing wedding & pet-pawtraiture) as well and I can tell you, its a weird feeling when normally you’re the one behind the camera, not in front of it (which extends to personal gatherings, as no one brings their cams anymore cos I always have mine) but Brenda made us (my fiance and I) feel very comfortable and the photos she got were awesome!
I am so happy that fnally I have some nice photos of myself and my fiance together to hang on our walls at home
